Struggling to find work, Hodaka keeps a gun he finds, which is illegal. He meets Hina, who gives him food and helps him. He get a job with Suga. They publish a magazine investigating strange events, like the constant rain. Hodaka learns Hina can make the sun come out with her prayers. They start a business using her ability, but it becomes overwhelming. They stop temporarily, and Suga learns about a legend of “Weather Maidens” who can control the weather but at a cost.
